Graduate Assistant – The University of West Georgia, made the Conference finals for the first time in 16 years. Defeated the defending National Champions in 5 sets. Coached the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year, as well as 3 other All-Conference players and 6 Players of the Week honorees.

 

Graduate Assistant- The University of Tennessee-Martin (one season)

 

Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator – Nicholls State University, team improved their record by 8 wins in lone season coached. Coached the Southland Conferences kills per set leader.

 

Head Coach- The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Became the youngest Head coach in the country. Recorded the best record for a first season Head Coach in program history, losing only one match at home. Beat UTSA for the first time in 25 tries. Led squad to their first tournament title in 4 seasons. Guided two players in breaking the programs all-time assists (a 10 year record)and all-time kills record. Freshman middle was ranked in the top three for block assists and top ten for block assists in a single match. Libero finished her final season ranked second all-time in digs. Multiple players were named to the All-Conference teams. Each season, Quillen’s squads were named to the AVCA Team Academic Award, which are awarded to programs who maintain a 3.3 gpa or higher through the academic year.

 

Quillen was named the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and became the youngest Senior Women’s Administrator in the country for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Quillen oversaw the day to day operations of maintaining UTRGV’s Athletics’ compliance within the NCAA, Great West Conference and the University regulations. In addition to her responsibilities, Quillen also served on the UTRGV Athletics Executive Staff while representing the athletics department as a liaison to the University Registrar, the Office of Admissions, and the Office of Financial Aid.

 

Quillen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of West Georgia in 2004. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Human Health and Performances from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 2006.

 

Quillen and her husband Brad have a 10 year old son, Kayden and a 1 year old daughter, Kenna.
